If you’ve been online for any length of time, chances are it takes you a good 10 minutes to fully scroll through your Favorites or Bookmarks list.
Where IS that amazing casserole recipe you saved? What about that funny video you wanted to show your coworkers? Or that cool new movie coming out next month? Why can’t you find anything in your Favorites?
A new startup service called Toobla aims to change all that.
Toobla lets you save and sort your bookmarks visually, into easy-to-access online folders, which you can then (optionally) share with other via Twitter, Facebook, your blog, via email and much more.
Create an archive of your favorite recipes, collect all your how-to videos in one place or maintain a single location for all your social networking pages. You can find a ton of great ways to use Toobla right from their blog.
To add new bookmarks to your Toobla folders, simply click and drag the Add to Toobla bookmarklet to your browser bar in Internet Explorer or Firefox.
More than Just a Place to Stash Your Bookmarks
Toobla can also work as a promotional tool. Use it as a portfolio of your work, to help draw awareness for a special cause or to share educational resources.
Toobla has also just released a widget that will allow you to display your Toobla collection in real-time on your blog. To get the code for it, click here, and then click the green and white arrow in the upper right corner of the Toobla display.
Rich Media is Just a Click Away
You can do more than just link to web pages with Toobla. You can also sort and file video collections no matter where they’re hosted, as well as import your favorites from sites like YouTube, Digg and Delicious.
Signing up for Toobla is free and there’s no limit to the number of visual bookmark folders you can create and no limit to how much information you can store in each one. Give it a try!
