Every successful e-commerce store uses photos effectively.  A shot of the front of the product or its contents are a must-have for making the sale.  But often, what you don’t show is just as crucial to making the sale as what you do show.  Even after seeing photos of the item, some customers will still have questions.  They won’t bother to take the time to contact you though – they’ll just go elsewhere to find the answer. This week’s focus on iElectrify is getting your site ready for the holiday season.  Each day I’ll be covering a new holiday marketing tip from design to customer service to after-holiday sales.

Despite the economic slump, Forrester Research has estimated that online holiday sales will be $200 billion or more this year.  Lots of folks will be flocking to the web on Cyber Monday (the first workday after Thanksgiving), looking for online bargains like free shipping, no sales tax and gift bundles.

As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve been hanging some Christmas lights on the blog to make it a bit more seasonal.  Likewise, creating a holiday theme for your web page doesn’t have to be time-consuming or intensive.  Adding a few splashes of holiday color and a little imagery can go a long way.
