Is SEOBook.com Worth It? A Review of the SEO Book Turned Membership

June 20th, 2008 | Posted in Search Engine Optimization | No Comments

SEOBook.com used to pride itself on releasing “a new chapter every day”.  Founder Aaron Wall quickly became recognized as one of the foremost experts on real, practical search engine optimization.  His previously-released SEO ebook was a must-have for serious page optimization.

Until February of 2008, you could download the SEO Book itself.  This was the ideal way to get the very latest search engine findings and SEO marketing tips.  The book was updated often and the SEOBook.com blog was full of helpful techniques and new information for website owners looking to increase their search engine rank.

Now, SEOBook.com is a $100 per month membership that focuses on providing education and training in search engine optimization rather than just an e-book.  The reason for this switch to a more “interactive classroom” is two-fold:

1. The site and its author make a lot more profit this way – and rightly so, since I don’t think Aaron’s information has ever steered anyone down the wrong path.  He knows what works and is all too happy to share his findings with others – which is one reason why his site is so popular.

2. It’s inexpensive to deliver training modules, such as interactive presentation charts, graphs and how-to videos that show the search engine optimization process rather than just tell you how to do something by making your read about it.  People learn immensely better interacting with something as opposed to reading about it.

I have a previous version of the SEO Book – back when it was a book.  The new $100-per-month membership may be off-putting to some (especially new online business start-ups), but if what was in the book itself is any indication of the quality of the site – if you can afford to join, do it.

There’s also a lot more inside the membership site than what was ever included in the book itself – including spreadsheets to help you track your progress, videos, keyword research and a lot more.

As an added bonus, you can get the SEO Book itself if you join as a member.  There is a money-back guarantee if you feel that what you’ve learned as a part of the “class” hasn’t paid for itself in terms of money, time and effort saved.

You can sign up on SEOBook.com for free and get access to many new tools and resources before they’re released to the general public.  This is a great way to see which search engine marketing techniques will make it big before the market becomes too saturated with competitors.

So is membership in SEOBook worth it?  The answer is – if you can afford it and are willing to commit to learning from the classes and putting the information to good use – yes!

To preview the kind of quality information you’d get, there’s an SEOBook membership trial that includes four free modules.  These include how to research keywords, start marketing with pay-per-click, increase credibility on your website and much more.  Click here to preview them. http://training.seobook.com/

If you’re looking for beginner help in SEO, can’t afford the $100 monthly fee, or need to know what to improve on your web page to help your SEO ranking, you may want to check out SEOElite instead.  Good luck!
