Aweber and GetResponse Review – Which Has Better Deliverability Rates?

email-deliverabilityGetResponse recently updated its pricing to better compete with rival autoresponder Aweber. Previously, GetResponse was a cheaper but not quite as user-friendly Aweber alternative for anyone with a mailing list of over 500 subscribers who didn’t want to pay the higher fees charged by Aweber.

Now that GetResponse and Aweber pricing is pretty much on the same playing field – the question then becomes this: Which autoresponder has better delivery rates?

While some research on the subject revealed no raw numbers (neither service is going to guarantee a certain percentage either), both services claim to use similar strategies to get your emails through:

How to Improve Your Deliverability Rates

While both services take appropriate steps to make sure your message is delivered, the most important thing you can do is ensure that your email subject line or message doesn’t risk triggering spam filters. Both Aweber and GetResponse have built-in tools that let you gauge how likely it is the message will be marked as spam once you finish it.

Ease of Use and User Friendliness

The next point to keep in mind when comparing Aweber and GetResponse is your technical comfort level and user-friendliness. Aweber walks you through the creation of a mailing list in a much more straightforward way, however GetResponse cuts out much of the hand-holding if you prefer to do-it-yourself.

Both GetResponse and AWeber have ways to try their respective systems to see which works best for you. GetResponse allows you to fully test the program before you sign up while Aweber has a money back guarantee in place if you’re not satisfied.

Both of them are great, recently i attended one seminar on Email marketing, where such host did introduced such auto email-responder, and then he said that Get response is far more better than any other, because you can add your own custom message to responder so that it may automatically be passed to your customer.

I don’t know GetResponse has been doing great in my favor so far.

Deliverability is only one aspect of using a mailer but usability will also be a prime concern for many because if the service is not user friendly and easy to configure then you simply will not get value from it. If I were to judge on e-mails recieved from online marketeers it seems get response has a bigger share, or perhaps this perception is biased towards the mailing lists I’m on.

    What do you guys use?

Speaking of deliverability, did you know Aweber uses http://www.SuretyMail.com to manage their deliverability? It’s the same company used by FeedmailPro.com which just came out and is an alternative to Aweber specifically for bloggers.
